SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky.– Ariens Company Chairman and CEO Dan Ariens joined local businesses and the Bullitt County Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the opening of AriensCo’s new RapidCare Distribution Center in Shepherdsville, Ky.
Headquartered in Brillion, Wisconsin, the AriensCo expansion to Shepherdsville brought more than 50 new jobs to the community. The first employees started in late March to prepare for the opening of the 200,000 sq. ft. facility on April 25. Several opportunities remain open to join the AriensCo team.
AriensCo will be a true asset to Bullitt County! The employment opportunities and the services they bring are quite unique and much-needed,” said Bullitt County Judge Executive Jerry Summers. “I look forward to a long partnership with them as valued community members.”
The company’s expansion to Kentucky is in direct response to AriensCo’s growth and increased consumer demand for its power equipment as well as demand for its service and parts business. Its RapidCare operations had been located in Kenosha, Wis. but between RapidCare’s growth and the company’s power equipment growth the facility was no longer large enough. With the move, Kenosha is now solely used as a power equipment distribution center.
The Shepherdsville site was chosen for its strategic location as a shipping hub which will improve speed in delivery to AriensCo’s dealer partners and customers. It’s also a familiar setting.
“Kentucky is a special place for us. We’ve been coming here for years and have enjoyed the warm hospitality from its people while attending the Equip Exposition in Louisville,” shared Ariens. Equip Expo is the premiere tradeshow for the outdoor living, landscape and power equipment industry hosted by the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute each October.
