Oct. 18, 2023, Brillion, Wis. – The Gravely® ZT was introduced today, giving more homeowners access to Gravely’s legendary product quality, durability and performance. The new residential zero-turn mower hits a price point comfortable for those watching their spending, and it’s available in sizes that work for smaller yards.
The Gravely ZT is on display at Equip Exposition, the outdoor power equipment industry’s largest trade show in Louisville, Kentucky. It is at the Gravely booth #7120 and on the outdoor demo site at the show from Oct. 18 through Oct. 20.
“Our longstanding reputation for building high-quality commercial mowers has always fueled a desire from homeowners to cut their own grass with Gravely DNA,” said AriensCo Residential Lawn Product Manager Will Pranghofer. “We’ve always maintained a healthy residential zero-turn lineup, but the ZT fills a gap for smaller yards where the ZT X, ZT XL or ZT HD might not be justified.”
Rebuking misconceptions that zero-turns are too big for smaller yards, the ZT is available in 34-, 42- and 52-inch deck sizes to work in yards with obstacles, tighter spaces and standard-size gates. The machine’s small footprint also takes up little space when storing in small sheds and garages.
“Pricing and sizing the ZT for a market segment where garden tractors have been popular is a great solution that allows more customers to experience the benefits of owning a zero-turn,” said Pranghofer. “Faster speeds and better maneuverability mean less time mowing and more time doing the things you actually want to do on the weekend.”
Compared to the multiple forward and back movements of a lawn tractor to make a turn, the independent set of Hydro-Gear® EZT® transaxles turn the ZT from one cutting row to the next in a swift, fluid motion. Those serviceable transaxles also drive the machine to a maximum forward speed of six miles per hour. Together, it greatly reduces the amount of time it takes homeowners to mow their lawns.
Though smaller, the ZT trades nothing to offer the Gravely benefits of power, durability, operator comfort, premium cut quality or ease of maintenance. The machine is built on a welded steel tubular frame, features options for fabricated steel decks, and has open access to engine maintenance points so users can complete oil changes on their own. A 16-inch high-back seat with a rear cutout keep operators cool and comfortable, and constant tension on the belts keep blade-tip speeds consistent for a professional-looking finish, every time.
Additionally, all models are furnished with reputable Kawasaki® FR-series engines.
