Ariens Company Receives Manufacturing Award of Distinction

Ariens Company received the 2013 Manufacturing Award of Distinction (Large Company Category) from the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce economic development group, Advance. The award recognizes manufacturers who set themselves apart from the rest of the industry, according to Advance.

"Manufacturing may not be perceived as cutting-edge but there are still a lot of us who think it is innovative, challenging and satisfying work," says Dan Ariens, Company President. "I'm proud to be a small part of the manufacturing heritage of Wisconsin and Northeast Wisconsin."

Although Ariens Company faced a year when the snow blower market was down more than 50% due to historically low snowfall, the company was able to offset this challenge by increasing sales in the commercial mowing segment with new products. The company continued to invest in new hiring and product development with a focus on long-term growth.

In accepting the award, Ariens recognized all company employees "who work every day to make Ariens Company successful. They like to solve problems, they enjoy creating something tangible out of nothing, and they are some of the most innovative employees in the workforce."
