AriensCo introducing new work schedule, increasing wages to attract and retain talent

AriensCo is implementing several changes that will benefit both existing and new hourly employees in manufacturing jobs at its Brillion and Kenosha, Wis. facilities.

“As a family-owned company, we are proud to recognize and reward the efforts of our passionate people who are the heart of our organization and are the backbone of our success,” said Nicholas Ariens, Executive Vice President of the Americas for AriensCo which manufactures its outdoor power equipment brands Ariens and Gravely in Brillion and operates a distribution center in Kenosha.

A survey of all manufacturing employees was the impetus for introducing a new work schedule to offer more flexibility and reduce the need for mandatory overtime. At the same time, AriensCo reviewed the market to ensure it offers competitive wages and schedules.

As a result of the feedback and research, the new starting wage for manufacturing roles will be $20/hr. beginning April 3. Shift differentials also are increasing for 2nd Shift roles to $2/hr. for hours worked. The 3rd Shift Differential continues at $1/hr. for hours worked.

Beginning June 4, AriensCo will have several different shift options to accommodate workers:
•    Newly created 4 days per week of 10-hour days (Monday-Thursday),
•    5 days per week of 8-hour days (Monday-Friday),
•    Part-time weekend shift, 2 days per week for 8-hour days (Saturday- Sunday).

The AriensCo Recruiting Team is hosting two walk-in events on April 1 and April 9 at Plant 3, 1055 W. Ryan St., Brillion, to prepare for new employee interest.
•    24-Hour Event, Noon to Noon – Friday, April 1 to Saturday, April 2
•    9 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, April 9

AriensCo is recruiting to hire at least 100 workers in Brillion.

“We’re proud to offer these enhancements to our hard-working and loyal employees, and look forward to more joining us,” said Ariens.
