A note from Chairman and CEO Dan Ariens and the Ariens Family:
There are moments in the life of a family business when you have to make brave leaps the earlier generations never could have imagined because you know, in your heart, that it’s right for all the people depending on you. This is one of those moments.
Today, we are announcing that Yanmar—one of the world’s great family-owned companies—will soon become a majority partner of AriensCo. Our family will retain a significant stake in this company we love, and we will continue to lead it, day in and day out, as we always have. We are joining forces with Yanmar to stay in front of industry trends and customer needs, and to become an even stronger employer, manufacturer, and partner for all the people who have placed their trust in us.
Allow me to explain in a bit more detail: The industry we are in is changing faster than at any point in history. Autonomous equipment, battery-powered products, artificial intelligence, and global supply chains are transforming what customers expect and what it takes to compete. We have watched our industry consolidate around us, and we made a choice to move boldly forward with the right partner, rather than risk falling behind.
Yanmar is that partner. The Company was founded over a century ago in Japan and shares the same commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and long-term thinking that our family has always stood for. Together, we will form one of the largest family-owned industrial power equipment company in the world. We will share technology and resources, leverage our combined global reach, and be prepared for what the next 100 years of manufacturing brings.
To our employees, partners, customers, and communities, the AriensCo you know isn’t going anywhere. The Ariens family will continue to lead our company’s operations, strategy, and culture. Our values, brands, footprint, and commitment to building high-quality products that last all remain intact. And, Brillion will continue to be our home and our headquarters.
We are proud of where we come from, grateful for those that have supported AriensCo for generations, and excited about what this partnership will make possible. A new partner does not change who we are. They’ll change what we can do—and we hope you’re all excited to join us in this next chapter, too.
