This Ariens Company Careers Online Privacy Notice for Ariens Company Applicants ("Notice") describes how Ariens ("Ariens Company," "we," "our," or "us") uses and processes personal information in connection with the recruiting process at Ariens Company through its Workday Recruiting solution. Ariens Company believes in managing the privacy of individuals and making safe and ethical use of personal information that is provided to us via electronic channels. We encourage you to read this Notice and the Workday Service Privacy Policy www.workday.com/en-us/service-privacy.html which is the Privacy Policy of Ariens Company’s service provider for this online recruiting portal, before submitting or providing any personal information to or through Ariens Company Careers’ Workday Recruiting solution.

The purpose of this Notice is to describe the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide to us when you visit careers.ariensco.com or any Site linked to this Notice (the "Site") and how we use that information.

This Notice applies to information we collect through (a) your interaction with our Site, (b) registering a profile on the Site, (c) applying for a job on the Site, (d) filling out a questionnaire on the Site, and (e) uploading personal information and documents to the Site.

YOUR CONSENT

By making your personal information available to us, you confirm and consent that: (a) you have reviewed this Notice and agree that Ariens Company and Workday may process your personal information in accordance with this Notice, other applicable laws, and contractual obligations; and (b) your personal information may be transferred to and processed in a country where Ariens Company, Workday or their service providers conduct business for the purposes and in the manner specified in this Notice. Ariens Company and Workday cannot process your employment application without your information.

This Notice does not form part of any contract of employment offered to job applicants hired by Ariens Company.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT THAT YOU PROVIDE TO US

Personal Information. We may collect personal information about you when you provide it to us while using or interacting with the Site. For example, when you decide to apply for a job by electronic means or you complete the onboarding process, you may be asked to provide personal information such as your name, telephone number, physical address, email, user name, date of birth, Social Security Number, previous work experience, education, language, skills, professional and other work-related licenses, permits, certifications, awards and professional memberships, background checks, visa status or any other identifier by which you may be identified online or offline We may also collect personal information from you through your transmission or upload of a resume or other documentation to the Ariens Company Careers’ Workday Recruiting solution.

Please note that we do not collect any financial information on this Site.

Sensitive Personal Information. During the job application process, Ariens Company may process and transfer sensitive personal information. In certain jurisdictions, express consent may be required for the collection and use of certain sensitive information. Ariens Company will obtain this consent as required by applicable law.

Sensitive personal information, depending on the jurisdiction, may include medical or health conditions, financial information, racial or ethnic origin, gender and sexual orientation, disability, military status, political opinions, religious and philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, and/or criminal convictions. Exceptions to express consent requirements may apply where the disclosure of sensitive data is necessary for Ariens Company to carry out its employment law obligations and for other reasons permitted by law.

We would prefer that you avoid submitting sensitive personal information, except where such information is legally required or needed for us to comply with our legal or contractual obligations and/or internal policies.

While Ariens Company is the collector of data from you, whether personal or sensitive information, Workday, Ariens Company’s third-party service provider, will also have access to such information to support the Ariens Company Careers’ Workday Recruiting solution.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT AUTOMATICALLY

Information We Collect Automatically When You Use the Site. When you use or interact with our Site, we, Workday, and/or third parties may use a variety of technologies that collect information automatically, including cookies, web beacons, flash cookies, and third-party applications. Those technologies may collect, among other things, your IP address, device type, date and time of visit, operating system, browser type, what webpage you visit immediately prior to or after visiting the Site and activities on the website. The information may also be collected or received by or shared with third party vendors who assist us with these activities.

Cookies. We think it is important that you understand cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is sent to your browser when you access a website, including this Site. We use session cookies to ensure better performance and a more enjoyable and consistent user experience from your entry point into the Site. The session cookie is available only during the course of the browser session; the information is not sent to or stored on a computer's hard drive. To assist us in this process, our third party website analytic service provider, Google Analytics, uses cookies and web beacons to collect various non-personal information regarding your use (and the use of other visitors) of this Site, including daily unique visitors, page views, length of time of page views, page navigation paths, time of day of visits, browser type used by you (and other visitors), the Internet Service Provider used to connect to the Internet and the Site, and the type of operating system used by you (and other visitors). HOW WE USE COLLECTED INFORMATION

Ariens Company will limit the collection and use of personal information to that which is relevant and reasonably necessary to accomplish legitimate business purposes for which it is collected and used. We will collect and use your personal information in accordance with this Notice, applicable law, and contractual obligations to:

  • search and evaluate candidate job qualifications,
  • process job applications,
  • ensure record-keeping related to human resources and recruiting purposes,
  • analyze the recruitment process and outcome,
  • conduct criminal history checks,
  • conduct background checks,
  • conduct employment checks,
  • communicate with you,
  • send important notices,
  • comply with law and contractual obligations, and
  • conduct surveys concerning your experience with Ariens Company.

Where permitted by law, if Ariens Company has the need to use and/or disclose your personal information for secondary purposes, the data set will be aggregated, de-identified, or rendered anonymous prior to such use or disclosure.

After you provide your personal information to Ariens Company through the Ariens Company Careers’ Workday Recruiting solution, we will add it to Ariens Company’ database and will use it for the purpose of considering suitability for other job vacancies at Ariens Company. If we elect to make you an offer, personal information you submit may be incorporated into Ariens Company’s human resources information system and used to manage the new-hire process. If you join the Ariens Company workforce, any personal information that you submit may become part of your employee file and maybe used for other employment-related purposes, including:

  • payroll, compensation, and benefits administration;
  • business travel and employee relocation administration;
  • employee management and discipline;
  • tracking the engagement of Ariens Company outside services workers (including temps and other non-employees;
  • employee identification;
  • reimbursement of expenses;
  • compliance and risk management;
  • business communications with employees;
  • internal technical and operational support; and
  • Ariens Company facility, security, health, and safety management.

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

Ariens Company will limit disclosures of personal information to those with a business "need to know" and in accordance with this Notice, applicable law, and contractual obligations. Ariens Company will take steps to help ensure appropriate protections are in place before we share or disclose personal information with any third-party service provider. As noted above, Workday will have access to personal information because it is the service provider for Ariens Company Careers’ Workday Recruiting solution.

We may provide your personal information to other third parties in the following circumstances:

  • to provide services to support and the recruitment process at Ariens Company as well as to post-offer processes and certain steps involved in initiating the employment relationship;
  • as required by applicable law, such as to comply with subpoena or similar legal process;
  • to protect our rights or property, protect your health or safety, or the health and safety of others;
  • to detect and investigate fraud or illegal activity, or to respond to a government request;
  • with your consent;
  • to respond to an emergency; and
  • to a buyer or other successor in the event of or during a merger, divestiture, restructuring, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all of Ariens Company’ assets or equity, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by Ariens Company is among the assets transferred.

INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFER

Ariens Company is a global company. The United States, European Union ("EU") and European Economic Area ("EEA") Member States, and other countries all have different privacy laws. When your information is moved from your home country to another country, the laws and rules that protect your personal information in the country to which your information is transferred may be different from those in the country in which you live.

Ariens Company may transfer your personal information to the United States or other countries where it operates or where its third parties operate. Ariens Company maintains employment data protection standards globally that are consistent with this Notice.

Ariens Company will not transfer your personal information to a third party unless the third party agrees to provide the level of privacy protection consistent with applicable law. Furthermore, where required by applicable law, Ariens Company will enter into Model/Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission when transferring information from the European Union ("EU") and EEA to the United States.

Ariens Company will take reasonable steps to correct or delete your personal information that is inaccurate or incomplete, except where retention is required by applicable law, contractual obligations, or Ariens Company policies.

Ariens Company may refuse your request for access to, correction, or deletion of your personal information in certain circumstances. If Ariens Company denies your access, correction, or deletion request, we will notify you of the reason of the denial.

DO NOT TRACK

CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 13
