Please read these Official Rules before entering the Ariens' Hometown Hero Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes"). By submitting an entry, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and represent that you satisfy all eligibility requirements. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY; PURCHASING DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING A PRIZE. ODDS OF WINNING DEPEND ON THE NUMBER OF ELIGIBLE ENTRIES RECEIVED.
Sponsor: The Sweepstakes is sponsored by AriensCo, a Wisconsin company, located at 655 W Ryan Street, Brillion, Wisconsin 54110. 1 (920) 756-2141 (the "Sponsor").
The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the United States, District of Columbia, and Canada who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and not considered a minor in their state of residence at the time of entry. Each entrant must be the authorized owner of the social media account and corresponding email address used to enter the Sweepstakes ("Authorized Owner"). In the event there is a dispute regarding the identity of an entrant or potential winner that cannot be resolved to the Sponsor's satisfaction, the affected entry will be deemed ineligible.
Tag @ariens with the hashtag #AriensHero in a Twitter or Instagram post with a photo of your hometown hero, their Ariens Sno-Thro and their story for a chance to win an Ariens hat for you and your hero during the Sweepstakes Period.
Submitted photographs must be the original works of the entrant. All entries must not violate the copyright or other intellectual property rights of any other party. All entries must be suitable for publication or display to a family audience, which means that they must not be obscene, indecent or otherwise inappropriate, or contain illicit content. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry or any entrant for any reason, including but not limited to, violation of these Official Rules. Sponsor shall not be responsible for any late, lost, damaged, illegible, incomplete, postage due, returned or misdirected entries.
The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 am CT on November 5, 2018 and ends at 11:59:59 pm CT on April 30, 2019 (the "Sweepstakes Period"). Entries in the Sweepstakes must be received by the Sponsor during the Sweepstakes Period. Entries received outside of the Sweepstakes Period will be void.
Five winners will be selected on the last week of each month (starting with December) during the Sweepstakes Period by a random drawing from all eligible entries received as of the Drawing Date.
Prizes:Five (5) prizes will be awarded each Drawing Date, and an aggregate of Twenty-Five (25) prizes will be awarded during the Sweepstakes Period. Each prize will consist of two Ariens knit hats. The verifiable retail value of each prize is $5.00 each. The total verifiable retail value of all the prizes is $250.00.
Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes for cash or alternate prizes of equal or greater value. Prizes are not transferrable. Sponsor will pay for the shipping fees associated with each prize. Federal, state and local taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner. Each winner is only allowed to win one prize. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Promptly after a winner has been selected, the winner will be contacted via private message to the winner's account on Instagram, or Twitter as applicable. Winner must respond to the Sponsor in the manner specified by the Sponsor in the notification within forty-eight (48) hours after notification. Failure by the winner to respond to their winner notification within the allotted time period will result in the disqualification of the winner, the forfeiture of the prize, and, in Sponsor’s discretion, the selection of an alternate winner. Winners will also be announced on Sponsor’s social media platforms and website.
Submitted photographs may be used by Sponsor, its agents and affiliates in promotional materials, including, but not limited to, Sponsor's website, social media sites and other marketing and promotional materials. By submitting an entry, you grant to Sponsor and its agents and affiliates an irrevocable, non-exclusive, sub-licensable, worldwide, fully-paid-up and royalty-free license to use, adapt, edit, and/or modify your entry in any way, in any and all media, without limitation and without payment or other consideration. Winners agree that (except where prohibited) Sponsor may use winner’s name, picture, likeness and voice for advertising and promotional purposes including in any publicity, promotion, or advertising in any form of media, including websites without further compensation. Information collected from any entrant is subject to Sponsor's Privacy Policy at https://www.ariens.com/en-us/privacy-policy.
Sponsor, its affiliates and their respective representatives, Twitter and Instagram are not responsible or liable for any entry or other communication which is lost, late, damaged, illegible, incomplete or stolen. If, for any reason (including without limitation, tampering, fraud, technical failures or human error), the Sweepstakes cannot be conducted as planned, Sponsor reserves the right in its discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes.
By entering the Sweepstakes and/or accepting a prize, each entrant and winner agree to release, discharge, defend, indemnify and hold Sponsor, its affiliates, and its and their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents, Twitter and Instagram harmless from and against any claims, damages, losses or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses (including, without limitation, claims, damages, losses or liabilities due to personal injury, death, damage to property, rights of publicity, defamation or portrayal in a false light) arising out of in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, from the acceptance, possession, misuse or use of a prize or participation in any prize-related activities including any and all costs and attorneys' fees incurred in responding to and/or defending such claims.
Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right to change these Official Rules or cancel the Sweepstakes at any time, at its discretion. By entering the Sweepstakes, you agree that all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforcement of these Official Rules, your rights and obligations, and the rights and obligations of Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes shall be governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin. By entering the Sweepstakes, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
This Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Twitter or Instagram.
